How-To Create the Ultimate Man Cave

We all know how most of our garages look. Cluttered, and a catch all for our stuff that we don’t want in our house, and if we are lucky, a place to park the car. As a guy, do you really have a place to call your own? If not, this needs to change. We all need to have a place where we can tinker away on our toys for hours at a time so you can relax and escape from the stress of your daily life. Luckily, in just a short amount of time, we can help you to get that garage you have always wanted and transform it into the guy space you have always wanted.

Obviously, the first step is to clean out the garage and get rid of the junk. Fortunately, this is the most time consuming part of the process. Once this is done, we need to degrease the floor and paint it with a nice, grease resistant, easy to clean material. This allows you to work on your toys and still be able to keep the area nice. Is the area properly insulated? If not, we can easily insulate the walls and install sheet rock to make your man cave look like your room.

Organization is the next key. We will want to install cabinets and tool storage units to keep your tools organized and out of sight. You need to be able to find the tools you need, but you also don’t want to have a bunch of greasy tools laying around all over the place. Toolboxes come in a variety of shapes and sizes, so we have many options for that. If there is an area where you will be on your feet doing a lot of work, you may want to consider adding some anti-fatigue mats.

It’s time to consider adding some fun things as well. Maybe a flat screen television on the wall and some comfortable chairs where you and your friends can enjoy the race or a football game without traipsing all through the house. Another fun addition is some retro arcade games or a stereo system. Unfortunately, when it comes to your “hot wheels,” you are on your own.

We have many different options to make this room just what you need to fit your personal tastes. Here at, we would be honored to have the opportunity to put our 33 years of experience to work for you. As always, you are the most important part of our remodeling team.
