No matter how long you have been married, there is always the opportunity to add some romance to your life. One of the areas where you can do this is in the bathroom. I know. The bathroom sounds like the least romantic place in your home, but there are some simple remodeling and decorating tips that you can put in place to give the area a spa like appearance. The cost of such a remodel can be far less than you can imagine.
One of the simplest things that you can do is to pick up some candles and candle holders. Place them around you bathtub to add some warmth and romance to your bathroom. This alone can add some romance, and it can also scent the air if you purchase scented candles. Another simple thing to do is to purchase a simple wicker basket and line it with a cloth that accents the décor of your bathroom. Fill the basket with bath oils, fancy soaps, bubble bath, massage oil, lotions, and some creams. Place the basket on your vanity, a shelf, or even on the floor. Some fancy hand towels in the basket will also make a nice addition.
Take a look at the mirror. A lot of bathrooms have the simple frameless type of mirror. Having a molding added around the outside of the mirror can really add some class to the bathroom. You could also add a fancy bow to the top of the mirror and attach the bow to a nail above the mirror. This will give the illusion that the mirror is hanging by the bow.
Don’t forget to add some his and hers gear. Purchase some monogrammed bath towels, along with a robe and slippers for each of you. This will make the bathroom appear to be a spa for the two of you.
Nothing says romance like a Jacuzzi or whirlpool tub. There is nothing more relaxing than sitting in a tub with water that circulates and massages you. This tub will allow you and your spouse to take some time to recharge while relaxing in the tub. Before you decide against this tub, bear in mind that the price tag for these tubs has come down substantially over the years.
