The most important person throughout the entire history of the world was Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that He is God in flesh form (John 1:1, 14; Col 2:9), and He was physically risen from the dead. He is our Lord (Luke 24:34, John 2:19-21) and our Savior (Acts 5:30-32). The entire reason that Jesus came to the world was to die for sinners (Romans 5:8) in order to take away the separation between God and man and to remove the wrath of God from us.
We are all sinners. Think about it. Have you ever lied, cheated, drove too fast, thought bad thoughts about a neighbor or coworker? We all have. None of us are perfect, and we need forgiveness from our sins. The Bible tells us that all have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23). Our sins separate us from God (Isaiah 59:2) and the punishment for sin is death (Romans 6:23). We need to be saved through faith in Christ (John 3:14). It is necessary to trust in what Jesus did on the cross in order to forgive us of our sins. That is the only way to gain forgiveness.
Jesus bore the sins of all men on the cross, and it is through Him that we gain forgiveness and eternal life. If you are not a Christian, then God and Jesus are waiting on you. Come to the One that died for our sins (Matthew 11:28). Turn from your sins and believe in Jesus. Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Get on your knees, ask Jesus to forgive you, to come into your heart, and to wash you clean from your sins. He is waiting with outstretched arms for you.
